This Windward Webinar is primarily about the setup and use of pack sizes in inventory management. It covers how the pack size feature works, how it is set up and its options. The different modes of pack sizes are also shown in a live demonstration. The concept of pack sizes only applies to purchasing and does not affect invoicing or selling.
- Speaker Jennifer moderates the Winward webinar while Eugene gives the presentation. - The main topic is pack sizes, specially how it functions and is set up in the inventory system. - Eugene shows how to locate pack sizes under Purchase Order Settings where users can set their options (2:20). - Demonstration of pack size includes four key options: do not purchase in pack sizes, purchasing in pack sizes, explode ordered pack sizes when receiving stock, and back ordering is set on each inventory record. Each option is differentiated and detailed (2:39). - Numerous examples are shown to illustrate the aforementioned options in action including purchasing and receiving stock (7:36,10:18). - For case cost, it's automatically calculated by multiplying the standard cost by the pack quantity. Costs are also displayed in the Purchase Order settings (18:56). - Pack sizes only affect purchasing, not invoicing or selling. An inventory item can still be sold with the quantity specified regardless of the pack size (15:02). - Questions about knowing pack size at the point of selling, price break down, and the case breakdown option tab are responded to during the Q&A session. - There's a notification about the next webinar, happening on April 6th about promotion rules, before the session concludes.
Hello, everybody! Good afternoon! Welcome to another Winward webinar.
My name is Jennifer and, as always, I'll be your moderator for today's presentation.
Eugene as our presenter today and we'll be going out for a pack sizes. But, if you want to rewatch the presentation or any of our older ones, you can go to windward software dot com slash webinars and they're all there in the archive. So, this one will be uploaded shortly after the presentation is completed.
Without further ado, let's get started.
Alright, perfect. Thanks Jennifer. Is Hi everybody. Good afternoon. So yeah for today's webinar.
We'll be talking about pack size So basically this Webinar will discuss how pack size works and how sometimes you may order items from your supplier and packs just because they can only be purchased bike packs.
So we will also discuss how you set your inventory items, in fact, and then uh, we'll see what your pack size options are.
So I will be doing a live demonstration, or just to kind of you know just give you an idea on how this works later on.
So yep, so the very first thing that we need to know is how to set it up.
So the pack size setup can be found under.
If you go to your menu or navigator, go to Setup Tools, Setup Wizard, and then you have Purchase Order Settings, and then under Purchase Order Settings, you should see pack size purchasing options.
So this will be your options when you go to your setup wizard.
So in here we have four options. So we have do not purchase in pack sizes.
Purchasing pack sizes, explode ordered, pack sizes when receiving stock.
And then the backside back ordering is set on each inventory record. So we will go to each one of them in detail later on.
So I'm just going to pull up my demo here.
Second, OK, here's my demo.
So, now, let's try to check first the setup.
OK, so this is setup wizard, purchase order settings, and pack size Purchasing options.
So at the moment, my demo is not yet, not yet set up for pack sizes, so that's why it says do not purchase new pack sizes.
So the next option will be purchased in pack sizes.
So there's a description below. Items must be purchased in quantities of the pack size.
So meaning, you will have to order your item from the supplier, buy, buy packed, and say for example, if you if you're a pack is if you have what one pack of six quantities, then you will have to order it by six quantities.
And then a third one is order. Sorry, explode ordered pack sizes when receiving stop.
So for every item ordered, the quantity to receive is the quantity times the, uh, the pack size.
So if you have one pack of six quantities, so if you order the item from your supplier, if you put a quantity of one, when you see that, you will receive a six quantity.
And then the last one, S back ordering is set on each and venturi item.
So, this allows you to only select specific inventory items, to have the back sizing.
guess this option here, the Purchasing Pack sizes, it will be for all inventory items, but this one will allow you to pick which Items to set up, where the pack size and only those items. So well, then.
do the Pack sizing basically.
So, to give you an example, so I'm just going to try to pull up an item here.
So, this will be our test item.
OK, so I have here Part Number eight test which is being supplied by Gini industries.
And if this is just a normal item, I have a standard cost of 50 selling, it for 75, and then under the Extra tab, so this is where you can see the, The setup for the pack sizing.
So you have a drop-down menu here and then you have a pack size field, Braden, you could specify the the quantity of the pack.
So for my demonstration, I will be leaving this at six. So this is 1. 1 pack is equivalent to six quantities. So again, at the moment, since my setting, in Setup wizard, it was set to do not purchase in pack sizes.
So, yeah, you can also see that here.
So, you can use this drop-down menu, if you will choose the last option, because then, again, you will have the ability to only pick specific items.
Which will have the pack sizing options.
So, right, and I'm just gonna pick the last option here, so that it can be very flexible with our inventory item.
So, I'm just going to close that setting.
And then here, again, and I'm just going to try to pull this up again, because I left it open, while changing other things in this system.
OK, so again, under Xtra tab, I have the option to order in pack sizes.
And then just to kind of show you the.
The other parts that I have in the system.
OK, so this is, Yes, you can see, this is setup to not order in pack sizes, so this will not be affected by the ... option.
All right, so I'm just going to do a test, so I'm just going to try to purchase that item.
So we're going to do a new purchase order.
And, I'm sorry, our supplier was GE Industries.
All right, so as you can see, the moment I put in the item, it automatically puts the six quantity under the ordered column. Just that's how I set it up.
So one pack is equivalent to six quantities.
So if I put, say for example, I want to just just to order two, it will go back to six, because that's how it's being set up for purchasing.
So it will always Set the quantity by six.
So say for example, if I want to order seven, it will go up, because 6 is 1 pack, but the seventh will be for another pack.
Thus, the system will automatically add the extra six, making it 12 altogether.
Say, if I wanted to do 14, it will then do the 18 instead, because, again, this is a pack of six.
So that's how it works.
So put, putting one, again, what's it to set X, because that's the minimum size of the pack.
So, OK, let's just send this innocentive.
Then we're going to receive it.
So there there's the six, receive.
Then if you go to the item.
So now I have six because of the recently received purchase order.
Costs are stock levels. They're only six.
All right, by the way, I almost forgot under the extra tab, as well, apart from the drop-down menu that you can choose for the ...
and the backsides field, you also have the, the, the section for setting up your pricing, or the case.
So, given, that, my standard cost for this item is at 50, so multiplied by six, you can see the case cost is 300.
Alright, so that's for the order in pack sizes.
So now let's try the explode order quantity, so I'm just going to click OK to save that.
And then we're going to do the new PO, and let's see how it works. So, G.
All right, so N here.
By default, it's set the quantity ordered to one, but, again, this is a pack size of six still, but the way we set it, set it up is, it will automatically explode to whatever the pack size as to when you receive it.
So even though, during the sending process or the creation of your PO, you can already see the way it's being set up.
So one ordered, the pack size, is multiplied by six.
So just to give you, just to show you how this actually works, I'm just going to send this.
And then we're going to receive it.
All right, so it's still set at one for the received quantity.
But again, this should be multiplied by six when we receive it. So I'm just going to receive it.
And then you can see, again, I don't know if you saw that, but let me just try to pull it up again.
So under the Received column, it changed 2, six, because it's a, it's a backup six. Now actually go to the item.
So we should have, let's see, search.
So 12.
So, the first six was the first one, the first receiving that we did and then the second six is because of the explode explode options. So there you can see another six has been added.
Because it exploded to a pack size of six.
So again, just another example or another purchase order.
Let's do, maybe, just more than one pack.
So a test.
Kiss a re-order. Fine.
So, technically, 5 times 6, that's 30. So I'm going to send this.
Alright, so we're receiving five, but remember that this is an exploding pack size, settle, technically become 38 quantity when we receive it.
There you can see the receive quantity is now 30, and then if we go to the inventory record.
We now have 42, just 12 plus 30, that's 42.
So, Yeah, that's basically, the, yeah, the differences between the options.
So, again, let me go back to the setup wizard.
So again, these are the options that we have, So this is, if you don't want pack sizes to be set up in any of your items.
The second option is if you want all the items to be set up in pack sizes.
So you have to basically go to the ... or you can do a Data Load to update the pact sizing.
And then for the ordered, Yeah, when you receive one, it will then multiply to the quantity of your pack size when you receive it.
So, and then the last one is a back ordering, is that on each inventory item, meaning, you can specify, you can pick specific items.
to set up depth, the pack size things, it does not apply to all of your items.
So say for example, you have items, you have already done a data load for safer, so all of the items.
And then say for example, there were a setup all set up with a pack of six, then if you choose the item, the specific one specific item, not to do the pack sizing.
So you can just go to the extra tab and choose that do not purchase effect sizes, So even though the pack size is six, it will still follow the the normal ordering size, you know, for the size.
So if you order want it, you will always or only receive one, and by the way, you might be wondering if this will affect your invoicing or selling.
So it will not, it will only apply to purchasing.
The pack size only applies to purchasing, but not on the, the selling.
So hang on. I'm just going to try to show you just two.
Make sure that this is working fine.
Let me go back here again, So I have, let's say, ordering pack sizes six.
I'm just going to try to sell this.
Let's just pick any random customer here.
There, even though, even though we can see pack size six, you just have to disregard that one. Because as you can see, the quantity is just one.
So, you can put two.
Regardless of you changing the type, it will remain to whatever specified quantity that you have.
So, work order, it remains at two.
So, again, the pacs system only for purchasing it does not affect the invoicing or selling.
All right.
So, I hope Yeah, that's that's clear enough, Jennifer.
I'm let's try to take some questions if we have any.
OK, awesome. Thank you, Eugene. That was a great presentation.
We do have time for questions so if there's anything that you want to ask you generalize here, pop it into the question box. You will be able to watch the replay of this. Like I said, woodward software dot com slash webinars and you can always e-mail any questions afterwards to support at winward software dot com.
Alright. Our first question is from Pauline.
Is there any way of knowing the pack size when you're selling a product? For example, sometimes we have a customer that wants to buy a whole pack, not just an individual item.
Oh, again, since the pack size options is only set for purchasing, it will not affect the invoicing, then you'll have to really specify your quantity. I guess invoicing is not affected by the pack size.
So that's, yeah, it's either. I'm just not sure if there's an option to sell by hoch.
Let me let me think, or selling.
You can probably do kits.
I think that's the best setup for that specific function if your customer are purchasing by packs.
So you can do inventory kits.
So, if you want, if you don't know about it, we can try to make use of our online tools.
We have the wiki, the self help, The, but I call this winward Learning Academy.
And then, if you need further assistance, you can just contact support and get, our support team are very much happy, too.
To be of assistance if it gives you need.
Yeah, for the help about that one.
So, its inventory gets, not back sizing.
OK, great. I'm, John wanted to know, how the price breaks down, if he puts in a pack, and he has to break it down to six, will lead to find the cost by the pack six.
Yes.
I think I showed that earlier In my demo, so my inventory item has a standard cost of 50 but if I set it up to a pack, like the pack sizing, there isn't a field under the akan, Let me just show you.
So, the system will automatically know the price of the pack.
It will just multiply whatever your standard cause it to the quantity of the packs or let me just pull it up again, this is my sample item.
So, under the extra tab, you can see that there.
So, case cost is 30, and that is because my standard cost per quantity is 50.
And then a pack size of six, making the case cost as 300, and also if you've noticed my purchase order.
So here, let me just try to pull this up, so it automatically set the total cost to be up there 300.
Because it's a pack of six with fish The As there he can see it.
So, fish the bird quantity multiplied by six, total is 300.
Sorry, yeah, I hope that answers the question.
Yes, John says, awesome, thanks.
The next question is from David. Can you show us the case breakdown option tab?
Case break down option tab.
Uh, are you referring to the pack size options?
Guess if you're referring to the pack size options, there's the drop-down menu.
So, again, this will only be used this drop-down menu if you choose the last option in the box sizing in the setup wizard.
Hang on, I'm just going to show that.
Or Disorder?
So, currently I have the fourth option, packs I back ordering is up to each inventory item.
So you have the ability to go to the specific parts, or items, that you want to set up the ..., and then you can choose that drop down from here.
But, if you're going to do it for all, it's going to be based on David added an extra comment there on the screen that you're on right now at the bottom. It says case breakdown on the left.
He's just set the bottom above web. Oh, this one. This is a different topic. Our function.
So yeah, some businesses actually use case breakdown in this kind of situation but the pack size allows you to not.
You know, for you not to do this instead guess case breakdown.
Kind of, it kind of works the same but, um, the pack sizing it's another way to do it.
If that makes sense. Because when it comes to pack sizing, again, this will only be effect during the purchasing.
So if you set up your item to have the pack size already, so all you need to do is just to put the quantity.
So if you choose the, say for example, they explode order pack sizes.
So, putting one ordered quantity will automatically explode the pack into six pieces when you receive it.
And then if you choose the packs, the purchasing pack sizes, it will be Burt per pack size quantity.
So if I set my pack size to be six, then you can order bisects not by four, not by three, but it will automatically go to the minimum number of quantity because of the pack size quantity.
So case breakdown, that's a different one if you want to know more about that one, again, you can make use of our online tools or you can contact support.
Yeah, if you have any further concerns about it, or if you need to learn more about it.
So that's a different one mm. Thanks, you, Jane. Appreciate that. I don't see any other new questions coming in, so we'll end it for today. But, if you think of anything after, please let us now.
Our next webinar is on April sixth. We're going over promotion rules. I know that one has a lot of good information for everybody. So, look forward to seeing you guys, then.
And thank you again, Eugene for your presentation. Super helpful.
Perfect. Thanks, Jennifer. Just before I go, yeah, we have the upcoming webinars. You can go to when we're at software dot com slash webinars.
We have a calendar there so that you'll know when these topics will be presented, And then again, I keep saying this resource. I said, we have available online.
So, these are the websites, Yeah.
And then, yeah, we do have training events, if you're interested, those are the upcoming training.
And then, yeah, I got to know more about it, So just go to ... software dot com slash events.
So yep, that's all. Um, yeah, thank you so much, Jennifer. Thank you, guys, for attending today's webinar.
Thank you. Have a great day, everyone, and we'll see you in two weeks.
Hello, everyone. Good afternoon.
Welcome to today's Windward webinar. My name is Jennifer and I will be your moderator for today's presentation. At the end of the presentation, we'll have some time for some questions, so make sure that you enter them into the question box with as much detail as possible so we can give you the correct information that you're looking for. If you think of anything afterwards, you can e-mail support at widmer software dot com and one of our technicians will help you out.
If you want to watch the replay of the webinar, it's available at winward software dot com slash webinars.
Today, we will be discussing Backups for Customers That Are Not On Cloud. Our presenter today is Abby. She's been in our functional team for quite a while now, so without further ado, let's get started.
Hi, everyone, and once again, good afternoon and welcome to our webinar today. And yes, our topic for today is about backup for System.
Statistically, the man will backup. Without further ado, let's get started.
So in this webinar, we will discuss the importance of backing up the system five data, and why it is required to be performed regularly.
We will also discuss the best timing to perform your back ups, and how to do a proper backup.
So that app is so important. And you should perform it regularly.
Because catastrophic failure of your data is a real possibility.
You're a DAC and your data access can be blocked by ransomware natural disasters.
Kendra's destroy your network, a server component could fail such as the server Hard Drive.
A virus, a virus or malicious employee could destroy your data, and computers along with that media, could be stolen. So that's why backing up the system five data is very important, and should be performed regularly, and saved in an external drive.
Just in case you will experience any of those circumstances.
Or if there are any errors after doing major or your major work like it.
Data load or physical inventory count, you will then be able to revert your data from your backup.
Lingers software on premise products do not have an automatic backup function.
So your backup in your business should include more than just the right software such as your PCI, encryption, key, spreadsheets, documents, and other files that support your business process.
We recommend you have your network ... configure and test your backup and archive process.
Without backup: you can seriously impair your ability to run your business and win for software may not be able to recreate your lost information.
Your backup is only as good as your ability to restore it.
Well, let's proceed to, I want to do a proper backup.
The best timing to perform your system fight back ups is after hours, when everyone is locked out.
If anyone is logged into your data or system five, the backup or the copy will be corrupted.
So, the first process, It's due determine the location of the system five data Directory.
So, first, you have to log into system five.
And in the Menu Bar, click Help, then click about.
So, the share directory shows the location of the system file, data directory.
So, my data is, can be kinda found in local this.
See S five demo folder, then that demo folder, OK.
Now, once you know where you can find your data folder, you can then proceed to the second process.
Which meant making a copy of the data.
So you have to go to the File Explorer.
Then, since my data is in local disk see, S five gamba folder, Dev demo folder.
So once you are on the data folder, just right click and send it to your hard drive or removable disk, all right?
And at this moment, you will doing that led them as patient.
So I have my system file here already open.
So again, the first process is to get to remain the shared data directory.
So, it is under Shell.
Just click this Help at the Out.
So, look for shared directory, which is this one Oops, sorry, this one.
So take note of that, they're not.
Once you're done taking note of the shared directory, you have to black out of the system.
So, again, before redoing the, or before copying your data, you have to make sure that everyone is knocked out.
So from here I'm gonna go to File Explorer.
You can just type in your armpit on your Windows search.
So, it is under local this See?
S five demo folder, just double click to open, and then Death to demo.
So here's my data. So I'll just click then, sorry, right click.
Sen two, your removable this or hard drive, since I don't have that one here.
I'm just gonna copy it, and then paste it on my backup folder.
So I'm going to just right click and paste.
I'm just going to just, I think it will take a while so I'm not gonna precede it. So I'm going to cancel.
So that's how you copy your data. And just delete this one from you.
And you can also create a copy of your game, but if you choose not to back it up, you can still download our app, our system five app anytime.
Now, it is recommended, too, try restoring your data to a fresh machine, like a laptop that has never had System five installed on it, to prove that you can do the restore if you lose everything.
Change and make at least one week of daily backups.
So, they are available at anytime and archive each month and that, again, back apps should be stored off site in the event of fire, blight, et cetera.
And if you have encrypted database files, the PCI encryption keys need to be backed up as well.
The key to opening these encrypted files is in their registry of your PCs.
A normal backup to a memory stick doesn't include this information.
So you must periodically export your PCI encryption keys so that if your offsite backup is all that is left, you can still have access to any encrypted fate pervasive files.
The PCI encryption keys are like the combination to a safe.
Your intricate data is like data in a safe.
So if you take the safe home and leave the key on top of the safe, you're not really protecting the data in the safe all well.
So please kits either this carefully and did not stored them with a backup.
Make sure to export them and store them on a separate external drive.
Another use Wiki or other.
Again, do not store them with the back up.
The reason being of the reason being if someone gains access to your backup, they would have the ability to restore it to their own computer and decrypt your data.
So how to export the PCIE encryption keys?
Let me pull up my demo again.
So, Why?
Alright, let me just.
OK, so from here, it go to the Menu button, or tap, and then go to Setup Tools.
Setup Wizard.
Scroll down, click on Payment Processing.
Go to Credit Card Info, and click on PCI Compliance check.
And go to Chain management.
And click onto file tab, and then exports.
So then, save it.
T, Save it to your external file, oh, sorry, external drive, or external disk.
All right. So that's how you're a sports. Fan cheer, restore your back up. You will be asked.
The key, or for the encryption keys. So, for example, you locked in a log into your data.
So, Oregon to do is to go here, it will, this one will pop up, so where are you going to do is do clicks, file, and then an import.
And by that, you will be able to, oh, access your data.
All right, and yeah, that would end my presentation, if you have questions or clarifications, she may drop it on the question box.
All right. Thanks so much, Abby. Ah. We do have a question here asking if there are any third party backup software options that we would recommend.
OK.
I guess you can, the best person, you can ask that one is through IT.
OK, great, yeah, so, whatever. do your research and whatever works best for you. Speak to your IT people about it. Make sure it works. Yeah.
OK, the next question I have here from Mark, if I back up the Windward file instead of only the data, will the PCI keys be included?
No.
Like I said, it will not be included So you have to export the PCI encryption keys after you creating a copy of your data.
OK, thank you so much. That's it for questions so far, so if there's anything else, please type them in. And like I said previously, if you want to rewatch the webinar, go to ...
software dot com slash webinars and any questions you can direct to support at winward software dot com.
All right. I've got another one here, from Abby.
How do you clear the no backup detected warning?
Oh, OK. We have a documentation for that one. I will get back to you, Abby. Once, after this one, I'll set it to you, OK?
Step's, yeah, OK, perfect. And then Gerard wants to know, for the PCI encryption keys, could you please go over how to import them again, after restoring from a backup?
OK, I can't be able to, like, because I haven't backed up my, I guess I don't have encrypted files as well.
Once you're logged into dear data, for your backup, you will be prompted by this box, or this window, You will just have to go to File, and then Import.
And then it will automatically ask you to login.
And then once you put in your credential, you'll be able to access your data.
OK, let me just see, where's the next question here, and got a couple in.
How do you test a restore?
Ah, you can.
Have it on your training, like switch your training data, or your old training data to your backup, and then here, let me show you.
Cope's there?
Or you can do this one.
So you go to the data files, and you have to like, select all of these files, copy, and go to your for example, OK, that's my training, we go back there.
So, for example, this is my training data.
You will have to open it, and then open the data files, and then select all, or highlight all of these polos, and then paste. So, basically, it will replace all the files here.
So, that will app, that's, that will update your training data, or It can Yep.
The stakes are low, so bear with me.
Just bear with me here.
All right, so let me nokomis south again.
Oh. Yeah?
You don't just don't Put in your credential yet just go to install.
So Let's say this is your training **** luck into your training. So Go to install.
Link to existing data.
And, uh, so, for example.
So, for example, yeah, I have.
So this is my back up, hill then, Click Next, Next, and next, so that in Ear, that will be this will be split my backup data, and then you can then login.
And make sure before you do that, sometimes it will Miss training filegate here. So make sure that it is in here.
I'm not sure if I have your case, This is not the training.
So you can go first, do your training, your own training data, and find her training file, and copy that, and paste it to your back up, like, for example, this is your backup.
And then just open your data files, Oops, and then just face it in here.
Otherwise, you will be getting an error once you login to that, back up, February training.
So, again, there are two ways.
Copy the data files from your back up, and then take it to the Dale Files of your old training data.
Or install your backup.
Do your training.
Is it, it?
Yep. Forget your name.
OK, great, thank you. And then Scott just wanted to know about the PCI encryption keys There only required if E is a credit card processing built-in, correct?
Ah, Elli, I'm going to have to double check. I'm gonna have to confirm that one. I'll get back to you, OK.
OK, perfect, so and I see a lot of people want information on how to clear that error message. So I'll give Aby everyone's contact information so that we can get that to you.
And I think that's it for questions at the moment.
So if you've got any last-minute ones, we've got a couple moments left.
OK, I don't see anything else coming in, so we will end it for today.
Our next presentation is coming up March ninth, and we'll be discussing invoice pending rounding. So that will be good when you won't want to miss that one, so we'll see you in two weeks and expect information about the clear no backup clearing in your inbox shortly. So you guys have a great weekend. Thank you so much, Abby.

Ivory, hello, everybody.Good afternoon.
1:30
Oh, yes, today's Webinar, we're gonna talk about discount as an inventory item.
1:37
So basically, this webinar will discuss how to create a dollar volume discount as an inventory item.
1:46
So, the promotion feature has three discount methods.
1:52
Price adjustment, ledger code, and discount item. So, this is our topic for today.
1:59
In the price adjustment, the price an invoice is adjusted and a ledger code method.
2:08
The discount amount is added as a jail code on the invoice.
2:13
And at this, and in the discount method, the discount is added as a miscellaneous discount part.
2:22
So, if you want this option, you need to create a subcategory first, there is a non inventory type in the category setup for that Scott item.
2:35
And provide an expense leger number, for the income and cost offsets category.
2:42
Prefer that discount item, and then create the discount item, under, that is under the sub category, that you have graded for it.
2:52
So, that is under inventory and purchases Inventory, and then you item, Then one is Dan setting that up.
3:03
You then go to the option of the propulsion, part of your promotion rule and reward rule.
3:12
Then since you cannot type it in search box, you have to click this little box here, to pull up apart by a window to select that out discount item or not inventory item for that discount.
3:32
So at this moment, I'm gonna pull up my demo, too.
3:37
Oh, shall you?
3:39
How to set this up?
3:42
So, again, we need to set up or create a new subcategory for that discount, just need to go to Setup Chores.
3:53
Configuration Category Setup.
4:00
And I'm gonna add a subcategory and the MCO's main category, and I've already added it.
4:09
So, basically, just E to light.
4:15
Click that line there and then click Yes and it will add a new category, or subcategory Yeah, great.
4:24
Well, this, then have to make sure that it is a non inventory type.
4:33
And for the income and costs, since this is an argument oriented, should be Enter expense account, so you can click here directly the expense leger in this demonstration I I faded 60 to 70 leisure number, and I also put that to Saint Leger.Number.
5:00
two cos H will be just an in and out and once done, it just need to hit this button, create ledger Numbers, so that 60 to 70 or an expense ledger will be created automatically in the Chart of Accounts.
5:14
So do not forget to Ah, it does.
5:20
All right.
5:21
Then once Dan.
5:27
O H.
5:30
That's done.
5:33
Ken, beneath that?
5:37
Sure.
5:39
Because, by default, it will this symbol name, as.
5:46
So, you can.
5:50
All that does.
5:59
I already rename it as a disk op, but by default, it says income and the Scott, so just add it.
6:10
And rename it in this description field.
6:15
Then just click to Save it.
6:23
Then, after that, became, then, trade in Part Number for the discount item.
6:31
So, under inventory and purchases, new item, and select the masumi's main category.
6:42
And that scalped, subcategory, that is just the subcategory created for the discount item.
6:53
Then, you can then add the part number, or you're, sorry, part number for the discount item. And I've already created that one.I've gotta pull that up.
7:10
Discount, Sorry.
7:21
So, once you assign this part number to the non inventory subcategory, it will then be showing none carnivale either at this site.
7:38
OK, with zero cost, Now, once you're done creating that discount item, now, We can now use that option.
7:51
That promotion, soul.
7:53
I'm going afraid and new promotion.
7:55
We're here.
8:04
OK, and go to the Options tab and select, Oh, sorry.
8:09
Let me like that.
8:15
Oh, that should be my quantity.
8:18
And then select the discount item.
8:23
Select this little box.
8:27
This will pull up and then select the discount.
8:36
Click OK.
8:42
So for our promotion rule, can I set this up number of items.
8:50
That would be three and reward your wiki to dollar discount, let's say 10.
9:01
Well, if my customer buys at least three items.
9:07
so they will get $10 discount. Now, let's test this out.
9:14
I'm going to trade new invoice or new sail.
9:20
Snake cash?
9:25
Yeah, OK.
9:58
Let me double check if I have selected a category or subcategory for this promotion.
10:10
After you set this up, the way you want to, like like all categories, are just sit categories or subcategories. So, just need to double click this.
10:21
I can and then you have the option to select, just select at once.
10:27
So, for each demonstration, I'm going to select this category.
10:34
So, that includes the subcategories for this category, OK, and you can also just ah how or act like selected ah items or inventory items from different categories.
10:51
So you have to manually add them, OK?
11:02
Now, let's add some items.
11:12
That's that.
11:18
So, I'm gonna add three items.
11:33
OK, so, I added three items.
11:36
And it then shows at the discount, which is at $10, $10 discount.
11:44
So, if I add another three.
11:51
Or let's say the customer buys three items.
11:54
So, that would shell a total of Punchy Bell alerts as well as the discount.
12:03
I'm sorry.SEC.
12:07
At U bar.
12:28
So at least three, if you can see if your customer buys at least three items, he or she will get $10 discount.
12:37
And I'll show you the back end here.
12:51
So, it's showing up here at a separate, ah, for each three items. It shows $10 discount. And yeah, there's three I chose.
13:04
How can that dollar discount they post it to the expense ledger 60 to 70.
13:13
Let's say, I'll show you, Chair, report 60 to 70.
13:18
Let's just, let's Great!
13:28
I'll go to the Ports Ledger Report.
13:33
Turn dashes by number.
13:39
62%.
13:50
So, as you can see here, it posted to seven.
13:55
This is the ledger Report for the CCC 70.
13:59
And it shows two lines as, it shows, separate lines in the back end of the invoice.
14:09
So, all right.
14:11
I guess that would be end of my presentation. If you have clarifications or questions. You may drop it on the question box now.
