Gift Certificate Promotion Setup
This Windward Webinar discusses the Gift Certificate Promotion setup, a function that allows customers to redeem points for a gift card or gift certificate within Windward System Five.

Alright, thanks Ivory Hi, guys. Yes, this is Anna Belle again. I'll be the presenter for today's webinar about the Gift Certificate Promotion Setup. So, this Webinar will discuss how to setup a gift certificate promotion and how it can be used to redeem points for a gift certificate or a gift card.

So, to start with, the gift certificate promotion setup. So, as I've said, we this promotion can be used to redeem points for a gift certificate or a gift card. So if you want the customer to redeem the points, one of the reward function is to issue a gift certificate. So, for us, to start with that, we need to start with the gift card or a gift certificate set up.

And to start with that, so, we need to click on the setup wizard payment processing system, five gift card options, and click on the system five gift card.

So, on the screen right here, you have the option, Does a checkbox, Use System, five Gift cards slash gift Certificate Program. So you just need to check that option. And then, and gift cards, certificate labels. If you don't have their own gift cards with numbers on it, you have the option to print the label is when the issue, the gift certificate.

And you can set up the gift card label, and clicking on this link. So when you click on gift card labels set up, it will then redirect to the template, or, and you can set up your own gift card.

And from there, we have the gift certificate out of sequence.

So let's say you don't have the, the numbers. You have the option. So like odor sequence it, especially when you wanted to like print, the, the labels are issued. So we just need to check that option.

The next step would be, is to set up with a card number, ranges for your gift certificate or for the gift card.

So it needs, yeah, as you can see from the screenshot, you have the, the length, the start range, the range. We have the sender type, mask, and then checksum. So, for the gift card ranges, the barcode number range and must be set off from both under the barcodes and a mag stripe cards.

The lens must be the same as their card number length.

Like, let's say for example, you have already, you're gift cards with its own number and you need to specify the length of the, the card number. It should be the same. And?

attended type can be G or Gift guard or any other type, that is not currently reserve or used by other zehnder types. And mask should be all zeros in the same number of digits. So let's say your gift guard is six digits. So you should mascot by six zeros as well, and then check som's.

And so the next step after we setup the the gift card is we also need to set the tender type and you can do that under is the setup wizard, invoice options, and Dunder types Like, let's say, you wanted the gift card to be under G So, like, when the redeem the gift certificate that you have issued to the customer. So, we can set it as G or whatever, tend to type that you wanted to use, which is not being reserve or used by someone else or something else.

And the next one is aside from, is that invoice.

We also need to chuck gift card, or whatever you have selected, under ask for a gift card. So this can be set under the payment processing options, credit card info, and then gift cards tab.

So the next step would be, is the gift card part setup. So after you upset all of those, what we need to do is we need to set upright number for your a gift card or a gift certificate.

So, you will need to create a gift card category, like a separate category for a gift card, to do so. In the setup tools, there is configuration category setup, and add a category for a gift cards. And the category type must be A So, from my end, I have a category six. Oh five, like from the screenshot.

Category six oh, five. The name is gift card. And the type is A, when you click on the drop-down, and here, I'll just show you later on.

the eight It will show gift card in there, and once you select gift card, it will automatically use like a liability ledger for your income. And then you just need to click on Create ledgers.

So, after that, once you have created the category, we will then be able to create the gift card part number, in the gift certificate category, that you have set. From this example, the categories 8, 28, that's fine.

The next is we will create the gift card, and you can name it whatever you wanted to name it.

So, from the screenshot, it is name as coupon and Enterprise must be the amount of the gift card that you wanted to issue if the points, the points are met.

So for this example, it's five.

So the next is, we also need to create an aside from the gift card part number. We also need to create a discount part. So you'll, you'll also need to create discount part, which is used for the gift certificate discount.

So for this one, you can name it whatever you want, so from the screenshot, it is name as keep one dash discount, or you wanted to name it as a discount, and aside from that, you also need to click on the miscellaneous parts and you need to set it as discount per cent from main kit.

After word is, after you have done all that, we can proceed with our promotion set up to providing that you have already enabled promotions from the setup wizard.

So for the gift certificate promotion, you will need two promotions setup. First is to accumulate the points.

And the second is to redeem the points. So redeeming the points, this is where we issued a gift certificate or a gift card.

So, an example of zero point promotion is this one.

So we have coupon percentage points. Percentage of dollar value is 100, some meaning.

This one is the one, so, like, like, let's say the price is a one.

So da the point is one as well, as 100%.

And you also need to click on Apply Promotion to every invoice for this one.

Then, X is, when you redeem the points. So, when you redeem points, you select the reward. It should gift certificate. I'll just show you that later on. And then they apply a promotion to every invoice must be checked. And then the discount method must be Discount item, and then select the discount part that you upgraded. From the screenshot, the discount item is Discount. So, from the previous screenshot, is always discount, Coupon disk on, whatever you have set, this is the one that you will need to select from this option.

So, how to use it after you have done all of that.

You just need to make your invoice in the regular way, and ensure that you add the customer to the invoice, so that the points will be accumulated.

And then, when you complete the invoice, if the customer has accumulated enough points, the clerk will be prompted to create gift certificates. Like, let's say, you have created a promotion, or in if the customer reach 250 points, they will do, You can issue a gift certificate.

Like, oh, like $5, or something like that. So you'll then get this message, you redeem 200 points, issue gift certificate.

Well, it's one. So if you wanted to issue a gift certificate, just click and OK if not, just exit out, or just click on zero.

And after that, this will then generate a number of coupons and add a discount item equal to the gift. certificates generated. Similar to screenshot right here. So, for example, this is a gift card or a gift certificate number.

And as you can see, it's it has an amount of five, The price is five, and then the discount item that was created, it will then, like offset that amount so that the customer will not be paying that. And, yeah, they will show that way.

And, and then when, when you exit the invoice like after it was gendered, you finish the sale.

The clerk will then be prompted to print the certificate if the option print labels to issued has been said. So let's say, for example, you wanted to print a label, because you don't have the card, or the number is, and you wanted to print it every time you issue a gift card. Then this has been said then after the clerk finished the sale, he or she will be prompted to print the gift certificate.

And when the customer redeem the gift certificate, the customer can redeem that as a tender on the envoys, by simply like scanning the barcode.

So like, let's say, there's a barcode on the gift certificate that you have design, or you can simply click on gift guard, tender type, and N, type, and gift card number.

OK, so, we'll start with the Gift Card setup. So, we will go to Setup Tools, Setup Wizard, and we go to Payment Processing.

And we have here a gift card system, five gift card. So, you check need to check this box, use Instant Buy, gift cards or gift certificate program, and check this print labels on an issue.

And for my setup, I have selected odo sequence, gift certificates or gift card numbers.

So that when the when the promotion has been redeemed, it will automatically type in the gift certificate number.

But if you don't want to, if you don't want it to sequence, like, if you don't want the system to automatically enter the, the card number, you can turn it off and then, once you redeem like, let's say, Wednesday, Clark issued a gift certificate, they just need to manually type in the gift guard early scan if you have a gift card reader.

All right, so next is to get card number ranges. So, for my and I set it up as a six digit gift card.

The Start range is um 100000, and then the end is 1999999, and it's under type, and set it up is a G, and the mask is six zeros, and then this one and then check som's end.

So I actually added it from both the mag stripe cards and as well as the barcodes side.

So the next is, from here, the credit card, since we're already in here to the credit card info under gift cards at Chocked gift card.

This is when the customer redeem the gift card that you have issued, So when the gender just need to entered a gift certificate number.

So next would be the tender types.

So, we go to the invoice setup, tender type, so, the G gift cards, or it's currently checked, So you just need to check that to enable that tender type.

So, the next option, will it be to proceed with the Gift card part number setup, which starts with creating its own category.

So, we go to Categories, they set up, Wizard, Categories, category set up, or you go to, Setup, Tools, Configuration, Category, Setup.

And then I set it up under Others, and then subcategory, so I set it up on a gift card right here. So, as you can see, it says Get gift cards.

And when you select gift card, it's it's It's an A After you have created a category, If the the ledger that you wanted to assign did a gift part is not existing yet, you just need to click on Create leger Numbers.

So, once it is done, you can create a part number, You need to create a part number under that category, under Inventory and Purchases, Inventory, New Item, So, others gift Card, so you could actually name it, whatever name you want.

So, once it's done, then next up to do is to set up the promotion. So, we need to promotion So, one is to redeem, Not redeem. one is to accumulate the points. And then X 1 is 2.

So, when you create a promotion and you wanted to provide points to the customer, so the promotion is coupon, the reward is percentage, scroll up points.

But if you're already in the Navigator, then this is the option, bigger label designers, and then gift card and certificate label designers. So, from my end, so this is a default. I just edit it.
