Break Down a Kit Into Its Components Upon Receipt
The webinar discussed the process of breaking down a product kit into its components upon receipt in the Windward System Five. It detailed how to enable the disassembly option in the setup wizard, the types of inventory items that can be disassembled, and a live demonstration on how to disassemble a product kit during the receiving process.

Annabelle explained that the system allows items to be ordered and then disassembled into individual components for use as spare parts.
The disassemble option is available in the software's Inventory Options section of the Setup Wizard.
Disassembly option only applies to inventory items not defined as units, including serialized and non-serialized items.
The presenter mentioned that serialized kits can be disassembled either when received through a purchase order or from the item inventory.
Demonstrated how to enable the disassembly option and how to disassemble a serialized kit upon receipt.
Annabelle clarified that the cost of the individual parts of a kit is automatically calculated but can be manually adjusted if needed.
The presenter showed how to disassemble a kit after it has been received through the Cost and Stock Levels function in the software.
Annabelle provided resources to access more help and support, including the company's website, customer care portal, learning academy, and professional services.
In the Q&A, Annabelle clarified that serialized kits can be disassembled during the receiving process or afterward, unlike dynamic exploding kits that can only be disassembled during receipt.
