Advanced Inventory Control
The webinar discussed Advanced Inventory Control (AIC), a module in System Five that aids in stock management across multiple locations. The functionality, setup process, and application in different scenarios, like invoice creation and stock transfers, were explained.

Advanced Inventory Control allows tracking of stocks across multiple locations. This feature can help manage inventories in different physical stores/departments as well as warehouses (introduced by Abby).
The AIC uses the locations in System Five to indicate where stock is stored and the quantity in each location. It also includes features like location quarantines, stock picking rules and put away priorities (explained by Abby).
Using AIC, a user with specific permissions can set quarantine locations for stock requiring inspection or holding items for customers. Also, it sets stock picking and put away priorities for fulfilling customers' orders and receiving new stock (explained by Abby).
Abby then demonstrated how the Advanced Inventory Control interacts with inventory, invoicing, purchasing, and receiving through an item. She showed how to set location priorities, add new locations, move stock, and adapt invoices and purchase orders according to inventory location (demonstrated by Abby).
For new Windward customers, Abby emphasized speaking with the account manager about Advanced Inventory Control before moving forward (mentioned by Abby).
For existing Windward customers, Abby warned that data will be lost if they currently use the single location field. Also, the stock needs to be departmentalized to use AIC efficiently (mentioned by Abby).
Abby concluded by answering some queries from attendees and sharing important links regarding the webinar series, help center, customer care, and emergency situations (provided by Abby).

So what is Advanced Inventory Control?

Advanced Inventory Control is a system five module that provides the ability for multiple locations to have stocks and stock control, as well as the ability to choose stopped from any of those locations.

How does advanced inventory work?

So, if you are new, winward customer, first, speak with your account manager about advanced inventory control. It is a stock management feature that requires regular maintenance and his tended to add additional control Overstock departmentalized Inventory. It is not intended to be used when stop is not trapped by department. Second, Advanced Inventory Control works best with average costing of the inventory.
